VP of People & Culture | People & Culture | USA
How did you get into your current job/field?
I found my passion for the People profession after an unexpected start. Following a long trip around the world, I joined a company called Mercury Interactive to temporarily replace a recruiter on one month’s PTO. By the end of the month, the CEO of this startup (which grew from 100 employees to 5,000 when it was acquired) offered me a permanent position. That marked the beginning of an almost 10-year chapter where I truly fell in love with the field of People and HR. And as a bonus, my manager from 27 years ago became one of my dearest friends, and we’re still close to this day.
What's a fun fact about you that people may not know?
My honeymoon was a year-long trip around the world—one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. During that year, I fell in love with Australia, and joining Octopus feels like closing a meaningful life circle, working for an Australian company alongside the amazing Octonauts. It’s been just as special an experience as I’d hoped for.
Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I practice yoga almost every day—it's my quiet place. I'm also a doer, so I love walking, watching movies, and cooking. The kitchen is my happy place, and I enjoy feeding people as a way of expressing love. I try not to repeat too many of my recipes and love exploring new ones—my family is my "lab" for trying out all sorts of dishes! I also love to create things and am always on the lookout for my next creative hobby—just need a few more hours in the day first! Lastly, while it’s more of a passion than a hobby, traveling and exploring the world is something I try to do as much as I can.
What excites you most about working at Octopus Deploy?
I’m incredibly excited about the people I work with. Every single Octonaut genuinely wants to do the right thing. There’s no ego, just a passion for doing things right in a collaborative and harmonious way. I truly appreciate the honesty and supportive environment we’ve built here. Coming from the People business, I believe that success starts with having the right group of people, and at Octopus, we’ve got that magic. Our goal is to continue bringing in the right kind of people who make the journey enjoyable as we create the company’s future together.
If you could eat one meal for the rest of forever - what would it be?
Japanese food, hands down. A few years ago, I visited Japan, and I fell in love with the cuisine. Beyond sushi, the whole range of Japanese food is amazing!
Ready to meet more Octonauts?

I love working across teams to measure what matters - surfacing the areas we are succeeding and the opportunities to improve.

I used Octopus and loved it so much that I wrote a book about it. I then met Paul in London, and eventually asked if I could help at Octopus.
