Octopus has always supported variables on projects, which are a good way to manage settings that change between environments. However there was previously no way to share variables between projects.
In Octopus 2.0 we introduced a feature called library variable sets to make it easier to share variables between projects.
Library variable sets are defined under the configuration area. They can then be associated with multiple projects by referencing them from the project variables tab. For more information, check out the updated documentation on managing variables in Octopus Deploy.
