This week we’re taking some time to improve our internal development and release processes. As part of that, we’re now publishing builds of Octopus and related tools to a number of different places:
- Our downloads page
- Chocolatey packages for Octopus server, Tentacle agent, and Octo.exe
- NuGet.org packages for Octo.exe and Octopus.Client
The Octopus server and Tentacle Chocolatey packages download the MSI, then silently install it. Since both Tentacle and Octopus support complete configuration via the command line, you can easily automate the configuration of a Tentacle.
The Octo.exe Chocolatey package is also pretty cool. When you install it, Octo.exe will be added to your path, which means you can quickly do:
