Octopus Deploy Resellers

Octopus Deploy does not have an official reseller program, and you do not have to be an approved reseller to resell our products.

As a reseller, you can purchase licenses for our products for your customers directly from our online order form. When placing any order or quote, simply put yourself as the billing contact, and the end user as the technical contact.

Octopus Deploy does not offer any discounts to resellers.

How to request reseller quotes

Quotes for new licenses

To generate a quote for a new license, you will need to know two things:

When you know this, follow these steps to request a quote:

  1. Visit our pricing page for standard self-hosted or Data Center.
  2. Choose the number of targets
  3. Click the "Buy" button
  4. Enter your details as the billing contact
  5. Enter the customer's details as the technical contact
  6. Choose "Quote" as the payment method
  7. Click Submit

The quote will be emailed to you (as the billing contact) as a PDF for your records, and will have payment instructions included.

Quotes for renewals and upgrades

To generate a quote for a renewal or upgrade, you will need to know these things:

  • The serial number or license key details.
  • If upgrading, which edition and number of targets (machines) the customer is upgrading to.
  • If renewing, how long to renew for.

When you know this, follow these steps to request a quote:

  1. Visit our upgrade page.
  2. Enter either the license key, serial number or order ID to find the original license
  3. Choose whether to renew or upgrade, and select the appropriate terms
  4. Enter your details as the billing contact
  5. Enter the customer's details as the technical contact
  6. Choose "Quote" as the payment method
  7. Click Submit

The quote will be emailed to you (as the billing contact) as a PDF for your records, and will have payment instructions included.

End user details are required

We will not honor any reseller quotes or orders if the end user's company, contact person and email address is not included in the Technical Contact fields when placing an order. You must not put your reseller contact details in the Technical Contact box.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send you a purchase order?

You are able to submit the purchase order online:

  1. Visit our purchase page or upgrade page, and follow the same steps as if you were generating a quote (see above)
  2. Choose "Purchase order/bank transfer" as the payment method
  3. Enter your PO number as the reference
  4. Click submit at the bottom of the page

We don't need a PDF/other copy of the PO if you are submitting it online.

How do I pay the purchase order?

Our payment details will be on the invoice generated (credit card instructions are on page 1, bank transfer details are on page 2).

When will the license key be delivered, and who will it be delivered to?

The quote and invoice PDF are always sent to the Billing Contact (and not to the Technical Contact).

The license key is also only sent to the Billing Contact. It is up to you as the reseller to forward this to the end user.
