How did you get into your current job/field?

I always wanted to be in HR, from my very early days as a Corporate Trainee in Hotel Management. It was a natural fit that I never questioned.

What's a fun fact about you that people may not know?

I am a reformed skydiver and hang-glider pilot.

What is your favorite project you've worked on at Octopus Deploy so far?

Rolling out Pay Transparency. The mere idea would give most HR professionals anxiety (because we worry about potential negative responses). But I love our approach where we lean into transparency, where you don't have to negotiate for what you are worth, where we build equity and reduce bias by default, and we enable clarity on what the future can be in terms of compensation.

Do you have any hobbies outside of work?

I sail in summer and ski in winter with my two kids (Caitlin & Mac).

What excites you most about working at Octopus Deploy?

Finally, I can break traditional concepts apart and rebuild them in a way I've always wanted to. And all this in service of helping Octopus continue to be simply awesome.

If you could eat one meal for the rest of forever - what would it be?

Tropical Fruit or Thai Green curry.

Is there anything else you'd love to share with us!?

If you love the flexibility of working remotely, being trusted as an adult to deliver impact (vs. clock watching), and deep transparency into a company's strategic plans... Octopus is the place to be.
